Arts for All, Inc. joins “Lights On Afterschool” Celebration

Arts for All’s Out of School Time - Afterschool students will join parents, school officials and partners across Tucson to light up the city and rally for safe after-school programs on the ninth annual national “Lights On Afterschool” day.

On “Lights On Afterschool” day, Oct. 16, 2008, there will be more than 7,500 celebratory events taking place across the United States, sending a message that after-school programs are critical to children’s success. Arts for All will start the day by joining United Way's Youth Development Coalition for the Afterschool is Key Symposium at Flowing Wells High School, featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Nic Clement, Superintendent Flowing Wells School District, where together with community stake holders we will explore ways to improve the quality of afterschool programs and form partnerships to keep the doors open.
