Arts for All Youth Ensemble Company Holds Company Auditions


August 18, 2009


Tucson, AZ –– Local arts-based non-profit Arts for All, Inc. Youth Ensemble Company will hold auditions for positions in its company of dedicated performers on Thursday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Auditions on both days will be held by appointment from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Arts for All, 2520 N. Oracle Road.


Rehearsals will be held two selected afternoons per week. Arts for All Youth Ensemble Company is a program that continues throughout the year and members will be asked to perform at various engagements.


Arts for All Ensemble Company is seeking actors, singers and dancers ages 8 through 18. Experience in theater and improvisation is preferred. They are also seeking young actors well versed in American Sign Language. Actors with and without disabilities are encouraged to audition. Actors should prepare a one-minute memorized monologue in their best diction and a song without accompaniment. The monologue can be prose or poetry, preferably not original work. Signers should prepare a one-minute monologue, song or poem. Dancers and those with specialties such as acrobatics, juggling or magic should prepare a short demonstration.
