housewives in an accidental revolution Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM and
Sunday at 2:30PM, February 3rd through the 19th at Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11

Dario Fo, one of Italy's foremost playwrights, is a rarity-a Marxist with a
sense of humor. This hilarious farce, a success Off-Broadway and across the
U.S., is set in motion when a housewife comes home with groceries she has
swiped as part of a spontaneous community action where 300 women did the
same. In her effort to keep her secret from her husband, she hides some of
the groceries under her best friend's raincoat. Her husband and his friend,
the accomplice's husband, notice the bulge, of course, but they believe the
explanation that the accomplice is pregnant! Hilarity is piled upon hilarity
as the characters try to extricate themselves from the mess they have gotten
into. Eventually, they all unite to support the spontaneous resistance to
eviction in their housing project. This translation was prepared in
consultation with Dario Fo and Franca Rame in 1999 for its premiere at the
American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA.

Auditions for Red Barn Theatre's upcoming musical "MAME" will be held at the theater on Friday February 17th from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday February 18 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Please bring a piece of music to sing. I don't need a prepared monologue. If I want to read you, I will use something from the script.

And if I DON'T read you, don't feel you are 'out'! I only need to hear a few of you.

I need men and women , all ages, all types, including a young boy about 10 or 11.

This is a VERY intensive show for chorus persons. You will be BUSY during this show, as there are FOUR BIG chorus numbers, plus a lot of interspersed small parts for chorus.

The show opens May 4 and runs for FOUR weekends. Friday, Saturday @ 7:30 P.M. and Sunday @ 2:00 P.M.

Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday nights, 7 to 9:30 P.M. and maybe a few Saturdays (tba).

Not everyone will be required to be at all rehearsals until we start running the show, about two weeks before we open.

My Friend Irma, and it's popularity and wacky ensemble of misfits, allowed it to go on to two movies, comic books and a huge TV success. There is a laugh every 4.5 seconds. IRMA:... when I was at the bank, I asked them to change my two thousand dollars for English money. They said they would give me 800 pounds. JANE: Well, what did you do? IRMA: They couldn't fool me. I put it on the scale...800 pounds? It hardly weighed four ounces.

A old-fashioned cowboy in a modern world, Roy was the hero of every young boy. along with his wife and singing partner, Dale, and their pal, Pat Brady, they always manage to get their man. SYNOPSIS: A couple struggles with their lingering emotional ties after an overdue break-up.

EMMA (female, mid-20s): Quiet but spontaneous, many are intimidated by her intense personality. She doesn’t necessarily talk a lot, but chooses her words carefully. Collects puzzles from the thrift store she works at. Likes challenges for entertainment and to stimulate thought.

RYAN (male, mid-20s): A more practical personality, Ryan tends to stick to the safe route and make practical choices, even though he dreams big. Easily gets swept up by emotion, and then gets confused when things don’t pan out as they do in his head. Likes challenges to achieve and win.

Nine Buddhas has signed up for the Almost Famous Film Festival.

It's a 48 hour challenge to make a 5 minute film. We get the assignment on Friday night (Feb. 17) and turn it in on Sunday night (Feb. 19) -- so we brainstorm and write on Friday night, shoot on Saturay and Sunday morning and edit as we go through Sunday afternoon.

The Top 20 entries show at the Phoenix Art Museum on March 1 at 7 PM.

They announce awards for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor Team, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Special Effects, Best Edit . . .

No money -- but everyone gets highly coveted title credit and a shiny new copy of the DVD (in a protective mylar envelope).

Seeking a few female actors for our musical pantomime performance: Beats, Bridges, & Barricades.
The show has evolved and is in (what we consider) its 'second evolution' phase.
Our goal with the show is to eventually get our own venue. We are finishing up our demo.

This is a working group and we have performed in Tucson for over two years now. Come and be part of something unique in the world of entertainment
-Come learn the art of pantomime! We have a show in March and rehearsals start in mid Feb. Rehearsals are in Central Tucson once a week.

Margaret Edson is an American playwright. She graduated with a B.A. in Renaissance History from Smith College, and received a master's in English literature from Georgetown University. Her jobs have included being a bicycle shop sales clerk and a volunteer ESL teacher. Edson's first play was Wit, first produced in 1995 at South Coast Repertory in California, about a John Donne scholar who is hospitalized for and dying of ovarian cancer. Edson did use her work experience in a hospital as part of the background in writing the play. At the time of its first New York production in late 1998, Edson was a kindergarten teacher at Centennial Place Elementary School (Atlanta, Georgia). The play won her the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The award brought her a large amount of publicity, including an interview on The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS. Edson has written a second play, SATISFIED, whose subject is "country-gospel radio in Kentucky" --still unproduced. She currently teaches 6th grade social studies at Inman Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia.

Vaudeville Entertainment, LLC will be presenting its first Variety show at the Zuzi Theatre on March 10^th, 2012 at 7:30pm, and we need talented individuals like you to help create it. If you have always wanted to be on "America's Got Talent", "Whose Line is it Anyway?", or shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and "American Idol", you are exactly what Vaudeville Entertainment wants. Our goal is to produce Vaudeville Variety-like shows for modern audiences. This variety show should include comedians/dancers/skits & Monologues/singers/magicians and every other hidden talent. This is your chance to show everyone your comedic skills, your fancy footwork, or how you trained your dog to jump through fiery-hoops.

Auditions will take place on Monday, February 6 at 6:30pm until 9pm at the University of Arizona Drama Building, Room 266. Call backs will be held on Monday, February 13 at 6:30pm until 9pm at the UA Drama Building, Room 266. If you cannot make it to the original audition date you are welcome to audition during call backs.

Please limit your audition piece to 2-3 minutes. If you are singing or dancing please bring a CD of your music or be prepared to perform A Capella, as no accompanist will be provided. Please note: We will not be having rehearsals as this is not a scripted show, therefore we need to see what talent(s) you have that is ready to perform on stage, in front of an audience, at the auditions.

FEBRUARY Features INDEPENDENT SPIRIT movies And Film Fan Event AT REEL ARTS 6!

Starting February 3^rd, Reel Arts 6 @ the Crossroads will bring Independent Spirit Award films to Tucson with the Southwest premiere of Tyrannosaur. The directorial debut of actor Paddy Considine is nominated for Best International Film at the Indie Spirit Awards and won several top prizes in the film's home country at the British Independent Film Awards.

Tucson's own independent film company, CoyoteMoon Films, is partnering with Reel Arts 6 for this first ever Film Fan Event Feb. 3^rd. They will bring their team to talk about the script, the lighting, the directing, the acting, the music and the editing of Tyrannosaur before and after the movie, because Film Fan Events will take a fun look inside the making of a good movie. They will also create an insider preview to the movie at CoyoteMoonFilms.com for the audience.

Members of the local Tucson filmmaking community are especially invited to this screening to discuss the art of film in the lobby after the screening. Tyrannosaur stars, Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman, won a Special Jury Prize for acting in 2011 Sundance Film Festival and director Considine won Best Director in World Cinema Dramatic. Coleman won the Best British Actress award from the London Critics Circle Film Awards.

In the month of February, Reel Arts 6 is bringing two other films nominated for Independent Spirit Awards, which represents the best in independent film, ranging from commercial releases to first features. They created a category honoring the first features of directors in honor of the great John Cassavetes. These films are made for under $500,000 and represent the heart of independent film.

Two of these films will open at Reel Arts 6 in February. Hello Lonesome, written, produced, and directed by Adam Reid, will open on February 17^th. Adam Reid is available for interview at any time about his film. The Dynamiter, directed by Matthew Gordon, will open on February 24^th. There is hope that Matthew Gordon will attend a screening after the film opens.

Reel Arts 6 @ the Crossroads is the new venue for independent film in Tucson, and the goal is still to bring titles to Tucson that would never have theatrical release, or the opportunity to have a full week run at a theater in Tucson. With Tyrannosaur, Hello Lonesome, and The Dynamiter, three films will premiere in Tucson in the month of February that truly define what independent film means.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Willy Russell was recently represented on Broadway with his smash-hit transfer from London, BLOOD BROTHERS. For SHIRLEY VALENTINE, Mr. Russell won the 1989 Tony Award, Drama Desk Award for Best Play and Oliver Award for Best Comedy of the Year. His worldwide hit play and movie EDUCATING RITA won London's SWET Award for Best Comedy, and in 1981, an Academy Award nomination for screenplay adaptation. Born in Liverpool, he left school at 15 to become a hairdresser before returning to education and becoming a teacher. It was while training to become a teacher that he wrote his first play, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival, WHEN THE REDS. In addition to the film ‘Educating Rita’ he wrote screenplays for the movie versions of ‘Shirley Valentine’ and ‘Dancing Thru The Dark’ based on his plays STAGS AND HENS. His plays have been translated into almost every language, with productions currently running in Japan, Australia, South America, Scandinavia and Europe.

(Tucson) Following six sold-out performances of last October’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.,” Christian Youth Theatre returns with Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland Jr.”

Step into Alice’s madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the DoDo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with the bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game.

“Alice in Wonderland Jr.” will have six public performances March 15^th – 18th at Pima Community College’s Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre.

CYT Tucson is a local non-profit theater arts organization providing instructional classes and live musical performance opportunities for Tucson youth ages 5-18.

CYT’s past performances have included “Les Miserables” and “Willy Wonka” at the Fox, “Oklahoma” at Pima Community College and “Annie” at Crowder Hall at the University of Arizona.

Artistic directors Jon and Kathy Thuerbach are recent recipients of the Arizona “Making Children’s Lives Better” Award.

The current CYT season will also include “Seussical the Musical.”

Chinese Guest Artists Join with Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra

For Rare Performance of the Yellow River Piano Concerto Feb. 11 & 12

TUCSON, AZ – Tao Fan, who holds the rank of National First Conductor in the People's Republic of China, will guest conduct the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra in a program featuring his sister – pianist Cong Fan – on Feb. 11 and 12.

She will perform the Yellow River Piano Concerto, considered the most famous Chinese piano concerto. This piece, which she has recorded, is one of her specialties. The concerto evolved from an eight-movement cantata composed by Xian Xinghai in 1939. It was much revised and modified before this version, a synthesis of Western and Chinese styles, was completed by Yin Chenzong and Chu Wanghua in 1969.

In addition to the piano concerto, SASO will perform Brahms' Symphony No. 2 in D Major and the Yao Dance Overture by Liu and Mao.

Cong (pronounced T'song) began playing the violin in China at age six, then switched to piano two years later. She studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and made her orchestra debut at age 16 with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. She went on to graduate from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she received her bachelor's degree in piano performance.

She came to the United States on scholarship to Temple University, where she completed her doctorate in piano. In a Temple University news release about her pending Carnegie Hall debut, she said that her father, a professional wrestler, loved music and told her that hard work and practice were the keys to success. He would attend her piano lessons and take notes on what her teachers said so he could continue to tutor her at home.

Her brother Tao Fan graduated in 1995 at the top of his class at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, winning several awards and scholarships. He was appointed resident conductor of the National Film and Radio Philharmonic in Beijing. He came to the United States for doctoral studies at Florida State University, where he first met Linus Lerner, SASO's music director. He first guest conducted SASO last season.

Tao Fan was a prize winner in the 2000 International Sibelius Conducting Competition in Finland. In 2003 he debuted at Carnegie Hall, conducting a program of contemporary music. In 2006, China's Ministry of Culture chose him to conduct an orchestra drawn from the 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, opening the ASEAN conference in Cambodia. He led the National Film and Radio Philharmonic on a month-long tour of Eastern Europe and recently conducted the China Philharmonic at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. He conducts about 100 concerts a year.

SASO will perform this program on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the SaddleBrooke Desert View Performing Arts Center, 39900 S. Clubhouse Drive, and again on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7575 N. Paseo del Norte.

Ø The season concludes May 19 and 20 with a rare concerto for two double basses by Bottesini, performed by Waldir Bertipaglia and Catalin Rotaru. The program opens with Isaac's Patriotic Overture and ends with Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 in D minor.

SB 1170, the “Multimedia Production Incentives” bill has been introduced at the Arizona Legislature and will have its first hearing in the Senate Commerce Committee on January 25 at 9AM. Find more information about the bill here.

Led by Senator John Nelson (R), stakeholders have been at work for months crafting this legislation. The program, designed to attract TV series which spend 9 months a year on location, would attract hundreds of high wage sustainable jobs to Arizona within months of its implementation. Once produced, films and TV series can dramatically increase Tourism dollars to a region as well.

The bill also includes incentives for major motion picture, independent and commercial advertising production.

UPDATE TO KIDS' ACTING WORKSHOP

Hello everyone,
I am still trying to set up this kids' weekend acting workshop with actor/teacher Patrick Malone. Just to recap, my daughter, Jenelle, took classes with Patrick this past summer in North Hollywood at The Actor's Spot. Patrick is a highly respected teacher out in LA, and he does a wonderful job teaching kids. He has worked with a lot of really great young actors. One of my favorite child actors that Patrick has worked with is Nolan Gould, "Luke Dunphy," from "Modern Family." An up-and-coming star, Landry Bender, who plays the role of "Blithe" as seen in the recent movie "The Sitter" with Jonah Hill also studies closely with Patrick. He also works with Kevin McHale who plays "Artie Abrams" in the popular show "Glee." Every child who attends is sure to learn a lot which will help boost their career to better compete with LA talent. I must have a minimum of 8 children to book this workshop.

Based on Charles Schulz's timeless cartoon characters, this revised production of Clark Gesner's
lighthearted musical has new dialogue by Michael Mayer and additional songs by Andrew Lippa, all
with the warmth and sincerity of the original 1967 show. From a bright morning to a hopeful starlit
evening, vignettes on such childhood touchstones as Valentine's Day and kite-flying are featured.
Songs include "Suppertime," "Happiness," "The Doctor is In," "My New Philosophy," "Beethoven Day,"
"The Book Report," "TEAM - Baseball Game," and "My Blanket and Me."
Those auditioning are asked to sing 32 measures of a song not from the show (be prepared to sing acapella,
but if possible please bring sheet music – an accompanist may be provided) and have
an, appropriate, prepared monologue.

Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College Music presents Northern Arizona University music faculty Dr. Alexander Lapins in a Tuba Recital. The varied and eclectic program features works by J.S. Bach, Schumann, Pilafian, Vincent Bach, Madsen, Penderecki and Ewazen. Lapins performs on contrabass and bass tubas, as well as the euphonium. His wife, Dr. Sharon Weyser, horn, joins him in a suite for horn, tuba and piano by the composer Madsen. David Craig is accompanist.

Lapins teaches euphonium, tuba, chamber music and the history of rock music at Northern Arizona University. Tubist with the Elden Brass Quintet, he previously performed as principal tuba of several professional orchestras and brass quintets in the Midwest. Dr. Lapins is heard on hundreds of recordings in a wide variety of ensembles, and has performed with the Chicago, Cincinnati, Charleston (SC) and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras. He has performed extensively throughout the United States, Asia, South America, and Europe. Previously on faculty at the University of Indianapolis and Indiana State University, he holds degrees from Indiana University, the University of Michigan, and James Madison University.

Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College Music presents the Presidio Saxophone Quartet; featuring Michael Keepe on soprano, Derek Granger on alto, Kelland Thomas on tenor, and Ryan McCormick on baritone; playing tribute to the famed Hollywood Saxophone Quartet. The Hollywood Saxophone Quartet was active in the Los Angeles area during the 1950s and 1960s. Comprised of four top Hollywood movie studio musicians, the group set a new standard for saxophone quartets in the United States by performing both classical and jazz compositions with equal expertise. They encouraged many of the top Hollywood composers of the time to compose specifically for their ensemble. Since their activity, saxophone quartets around the world have adopted their crossover format of performance, including the Presidio Quartet. The Hollywood Quartet disbanded in 1970 and has since gained legendary status. Their recordings are rare and coveted by collectors.

The program selections highlight a wealth of repertoire written for the Hollywood Saxophone Quartet. The first half of the concert features classical compositions including the world premiere of a piece written for the Hollywood Quartet, but never performed or recorded. The second half of the concert features jazz compositions with local talents Fred Hayes (drums) and Jack Wood (bass) joining the quartet.

Hailing from Tucson, the Presidio Quartet has delighted audiences with their banter and provocative performances since 1998. This seasoned quartet plays with a level of refinement that characterizes the very best chamber ensembles—technical fluency, rhythmic exactitude, elegant phrasing and a broad dynamic palette resulting in an unforgettable musical experience. According to James Nightingale’s 2004 review “They combine a unified sound characterized by a warm vibrato and large dynamic range. They display great discipline of intonation and ensemble, attacking all works…with rhythmic precision.” (Australian Clarinet and Saxophone Magazine)

Since its inception, the ensemble has achieved distinction in the concert hall by presenting consistently acclaimed concerts and workshops throughout the United States and Mexico. The production will run March 10th through March 19th at the Temple of Music and Art's

Cabaret Theater. Rehearsals will begin the end of January. This is a non-paying production.

Based on Charles Schulz's timeless cartoon characters, this revised production of Clark Gesner's

lighthearted musical has new dialogue by Michael Mayer and additional songs by Andrew Lippa, all

with the warmth and sincerity of the original 1967 show. From a bright morning to a hopeful starlit

evening, vignettes on such childhood touchstones as Valentine's Day and kite-flying are featured.

Songs include "Suppertime," "Happiness," "The Doctor is In," "My New Philosophy," "Beethoven Day,"

"The Book Report," "TEAM - Baseball Game," and "My Blanket and Me."

Those auditioning are asked to sing 32 measures of a song not from the show (be prepared to sing acapella,

but if possible please bring sheet music – an accompanist may be provided) and have

an, appropriate, prepared monologue.

The following characters need to be cast.

Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College Music presents a recital featuring vocal music faculty Jonathan Ng, tenor. The recital, Singing for Pleasure, showcases English and German art songs. Dr. Raymond T. Ryder is accompanist. The program includes few English art songs by Roger Quilter and two lieders by Franz Schubert— “Auf dem Strom” (On the River) accompanied by horn and piano and “Erlkoenig” (Erl-king). They both feature love lyrics. The first was composed in the last of year of Schubert's life (1828). The second was composed when he was 18 years old, but already skilled at writing dramatic pieces with extremely difficult but effective accompaniment on the piano.

Program selections also include two Russian songs by Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky (Lenski's aria from the opera – “Eugene Onegin”). These songs represent a different type of operatic aria from the conventional Italian and German operatic repertoire. The second half of the program includes several arias and songs considered the Bel Canto repertoire with coloratura flourish passages in the vocal part. Composers are Handel (“Samson”), Donizetti (“L’elisir d’amore”) and Rossini (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia”). All are from love stories (in honor of upcoming Valentine’s Day).

Ng received his Doctorate in Conducting with minors in vocal performance and pedagogy, music history and literature from Indiana University, Jacob School of Music, Bloomington. He earned his master’s degree in conducting and church music from Westminster Choir College, and bachelor’s degree in education from the Institute of Education in Hong Kong. Besides conducting choruses and orchestras, Dr. Ng is a professional lyric tenor and has appeared in various oratorios and operas throughout the states, Europe and Hong Kong. In the summer of 2008, Dr. Ng sang four operatic roles—Goro in MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Monostatos, Priest and Armor Man in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE at Magnani Opera Theater, Fidenza and Verdi Theater, Busseto, Italy. In the summer of 2006, he was the soloist for a European tour honoring Mozart’s 250th Anniversary. The concerts took place in Prague, Brno and Vienna where the grand finale took place in the world-renowned cathedral—Karlskirche (St. Charles’s Church). Dr. Ng has appeared as an orchestral and choral conductor for various groups all through the states. In May 2007, he made his Carnegie Hall debut conducting Vivaldi’s “Gloria” accompanied by the New England Symphonic Ensemble. He is the director of Pima Community College Chorale and College Singers, where he also teaches studio voice. Dr. Ng is also the founder and conductor of The Arizona Choral Society and the director of music at Catalina United Methodist Church, Tucson.

What's going on: Auditions for three short plays, written by Joan
O'Dwyer, directed by Whitney Morton, to be performed at the Tucson
Fringe Festival. The three plays are ten minutes each, edgy, modern,
dealing with relevant and controversial subjects such as politics,
cloning, religion, death, and family.

HAPPENS ALL THE TIME - A newcomer, Kate, joins a terminal cancer
support group and challenges the other patients' faith when she starts
asking tough questions.

decades into the future, a rebellious council member visits the last
living historian for a re-education lesson.

We'll need men and women of various ages (one of the male parts will
require almost-nudity, i.e. only underwear, for a brief scene). Most
actors will be playing more than one part. Rehearsals begin January
23rd, and the performances will be February 23rd through 26th.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script, and pre-prepared
monologues of no more than 2 minutes are also acceptable but not
required.

In every Horse Master episode, Julie Goodnight works with a horse and rider—helping them reach their horsemanship goals together while she offers up her practical and kind advice. In its fifth year on RFD-TV, the award winning Horse Master with Julie Goodnight show’s cast and crew is heading West to Tucson, Arizona and the White Stallion Ranch (www.WhiteStallion.com ). The True family’s White Stallion Ranch has over 3,000 acres of wide-open land and is based at the foot of the Tucson Mountains, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. The Horse Master cast and crew will shoot at the main ranch and plans trail riding episodes to make the best use of the scenery. If you’re selected for the cast on this closed set, you’ll be treated to reduced rates to stay at the ranch.

Those wishing to stay and play after shoot week may participate in the ranch’s activities including guided trail rides and even time working cattle (it is a working Longhorn cattle ranch). Events and Outreach Manager (Posted Jan. 10, 2011):: The Events and Outreach Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop, plan for and execute all special events at Arizona Opera including, but not limited to, the annual Opera Ball, Dine by Design, Curtain Dinners, donor intermission receptions and private opera salons.

Job duties include solicitation of vendors and underwriters, budget management, creating and sending event invitations, attendance tracking, and event set-up and tear-down. Position requires close interaction with production and artistic departments in preparation for events. As a member of the Development Department, the Events and Outreach Manager will also participate in donor relations and stewardship.

In addition, the Events and Outreach Manager is the principal liaison to all Arizona Opera Leagues in Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott and Sedona. This position fully supports these volunteer groups and provides all needed resources to assist them in cultivating new members and planning fundraising events. Manager may need to attend League Board meetings throughout the season.

The Events and Outreach Manager is required to be at all Tucson and Phoenix opera performances, as well as League events in their respective communities, rehearsals and other local donor events. Manager must be available to work nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years event management experience required.
Non-profit experience preferred.
Successful candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Hi everybody, I am trying to set up a kids' weekend acting workshop with actor/teacher Patrick Malone. My daughter, Jenelle, took classes with Patrick this past summer in North Hollywood at The Actor's Spot. He is a highly respected teacher out in LA and is VERY good at what he does. He has worked with a lot of really great young actors. One of my favorite child actors that Patrick has worked with is Nolan Gould, "Luke Dunphy," from "Modern Family." An up-and-coming star, Landry Bender, who plays the role of "Blithe" as seen in the upcoming movie "The Sitter" with Jonah Hill also studies closely with Patrick. He also works with Kevin McHale who plays "Artie Abrams" in the popular show "Glee." Every child who attends is sure to learn a lot to help boost their career. I must have a minimum of 8 children to book this workshop. The maximum number of participants is 20 in order to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual performance/instruction time. Please let me know ASAP as I need to book this workshop by January 20^th in order to give Patrick enough time to plan for his trip out here. Let's make it happen. To celebrate Arizona’s 100th year of statehood, the School of Theatre, Film and Television’s musical theatre touring company, Encore!, takes audiences on a poignant journey through Arizona history.

The journey features songs from the Wild West, the World War II years and, of course, songs of love and romance in tribute to Arizona’s admission to the Union on Valentine’s Day 1912. The songs are performed against a nostalgic radio hour backdrop, interwoven with vintage commercials and facts about Arizona and its people. Set in a world where a fictitious radio station faces the looming danger of permanent closure, the hour unfolds with music and song, comedy and drama, inviting audience members to commemorate Arizona’s history.

The Arizona Radio Hour takes place in the Tucson Scottish Rite Cathedral whose design and construction began sometime before Arizona Statehood and whose cornerstone was laid December 8, 1915. The building was officially dedicated in 1916 and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior.

From Speedway Blvd., turn south onto Stone Ave., turn left onto E. Broadway Blvd., take the first right onto S. Scott Ave.

On-site parking, additional parking at back of the building plus ample street parking.

Join us for our first ever ZUZI! Meet Yourself!

ZUZI! Meet Yourself! will be a fun-filled open house pARTy: a chance to meet students, parents and teachers from other ZUZI classes, Company Members, and those behind-the-scenes folks you've always been curious about. The stage will be open, with trapezes down and music DJed by No Frills MC Carie Schneider -- Bring your friends and show off what you've learned in class, or finally get your mom to try the trapeze! We'll also have a puppet show by Puppets Amongus, a photo booth with crazy hats and accessories, refreshments, and a raffle to win amazing prizes: enter to win a Summer Camp scholarship, class passes, ZUZI! shirts, & more fun stuff!

When: Saturday, January 21st

Time: 5pm-8pm

You may come and leave whenever you like. We will also send out a schedule of events as the date nears!
