Casting call, Short Film, filming locally in Tucson

Casting 1-Page Short Film, filming locally in Tucson. Filming in one night in the next few weeks. Exact date is TBD. Unpaid, but will receive copy and IMDB credit.

Logline: Trapped in the monotony of a graveyard shift, a quiet convenience store clerk escapes into surreal daydreams—until a fleeting act of courage pulls him into the real world, where for the first time, he finally does something that matters.

Donny (18-25)

A quiet, introspective convenience store clerk who blends into the background of his own life. He’s not lazy—just stuck. Prone to zoning out and slipping into absurd, self-deprecating daydreams, Donny is more observant than people realize. His humor is dry, his sadness unspoken. Beneath the apathy is someone desperate to feel something real.

(April 18-25)

Confident, distracted, and always halfway elsewhere. She carries herself like someone used to being seen, but rarely truly looked at. April isn’t unkind — just wrapped up in her world, her phone, her pace. She doesn’t notice Donny, not because she’s cruel, but because she never thinks to. To her, he’s just part of the wallpaper — until, briefly, he’s not.

The Soapbox w/Desiré Jimenez
(Re)telling Tucson's Story
Friday night at 7:30pm

Desiré is a California native who survived her first Tucson summer. She was born at home and raised as an only child — homeschooled, but in the cool way, not the "weird" way. After six years of vanlife adventures, fueled by coffee and pastries, she's all about comedy and making the crowd laugh at TIM. She's currently obsessed with Outlander, and let's just say meeting Jeff Goldblum? Her greatest life achievement, hands down. Oh, and in her spare time, she's dipping her toes into life coaching — helping folks take small steps towards big changes, one conversation at a time.

Everyone has a story to tell. Four short and personal stories from our special guest at 7:30pm will inspire Tucson's premier improv comedy team.

Come try out improv in a fun safe environment at the Jam Friday at 6:30pm!  Then stay for the Soapbox for just $5!

March 8 – 22, 2026

By Katie Forgette

Embark on a delightful journey down memory lane. Katie Forgette's charming comedy unfolds within the confines of a working-class family home. It's 1973 and the O'Shea family faces a crisis of biblical proportions when their 19-year-old daughter tells her younger sister about "the birds and the bees" and is overheard by the parish priest! Holy hell and hilarity break loose as the O'Sheas band together and prove that nothing is more sacred than family.

OH, COWARD!

April 26 – May 10, 2026

Devised by Roderick Cooke

Our 54th season ends with a delectable foray into musical theatre, Noel Coward's Oh Coward! (Yes, a musical on the IT stage!) This delightfully intimate revue devised by Roderick Cook, features four performers accompanied by piano. Coward's songs and sketches about British High and Low society, the theatah, mad dogs, Englishman, and other noteworthy subjects sparkle with the masters dry-as-a martini wit.
