Subject: [IFASA] Actress Needed - Paid
I am directing an experimental narrative short video about witchcraft and am currently casting for the principle role.
Character is a young woman who has lost her husband, children, home and dignity when her community discovers that she practices non-mainstream women's spirituality (i.e. witchcraft) but eventually discovers her own personal freedom.
Requirements are: female, age 20 to 30, slender build, "plain Jane" face, some dance or mime training, any race or ethnicity. This is not a speaking role, so she needs to interpret the character entirely through facial expressions and movement.
There may be some tasteful semi-nudity in a non-sexual context. Willing to discuss.
Production has not yet been scheduled. Location will be in the Tucson area.
Pay is $100 per day for one or two day's work, on a weekend. Talent will be paid immediately after end of shooting. This is a non-SAG production.
