Subject: IFA's Carnival of Images and Sound

Independent Film Arizona's July 7 Meeting will be its Carnival of Images and Sound Meeting.

Rather than a traditional lecture or panel format, the Carnival of Images and Sound will be a simultaneous presentation of actors, dancers, musicians and performers simultaneously presenting a carnival of images and sounds including everything from belly dancing to Shakespearian monologues, boxers sparing to  classical music, staged gunfights to Brazilian dancers,  roller skaters in tutu's to sword fighting pirates, shopping cart races to unitard clad weight lifters, firemen to ballet dancers, couples kissing to cops and robbers, certified public accountants doing math in their heads to free throw shooting point guards, Mariachi's to hula hoopers, marching bands to burlesque artists, drum groups to fire dancers, and actors dressed in everything from vintage costumes to zombie make up.  Cats and dogs sleeping together without adult supervision.  That sort of thing.  not the same old same old.

It will be a open source carnival of images and sounds at which filmmakers will be invited and encouraged to capture and record (and share back with the community and the performers involved).  Lots of people performing.  Lots of people filming.  Lots of people watching in awe.

If you would like to perform (or otherwise show off your stuff) or if you are interested in filming at the event -- contact Independent Film Arizona at independentfilmarizona@gmail.com.

To celebrate the oppressive heat of summer, IFA will be providing free cold beer and free popcorn to those of legal age to consume free cold beer and popcorn.

The IFA July 7th Carnival of Images and Sounds.  Connect CoWorking, 33 South 5th Avenue, Tucson.  The meeting is free and open to all.
