Arizona Opera is holding auditions for the following:
2006-2007 Season - Small Roles
School Tour – “Old Maid and the Thief”
Date, Times and Locations
Tucson: Monday, January 23rd
11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Tucson Opera Office, 3501 N Mountain Ave.
Phoenix: Thursday, Feb. 2nd
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Location TBA
Audition requirements:
• To be considered for an audition please e-mail your resume to Tom Wright tom@azopera.com
• If selected to audition, please be prepared to sing two arias in contrasting styles and languages
Small Roles Available:
Macbeth:
Malcolm (tenor), Doctor (bass), First Apparition (baritone)
Le Nozze di Figaro:
Don Basilio (tenor), Don Curzio (tenor), Barbarina (soprano), Antonio (bass)
Madama Butterfly:
The Imperial Commissioner (bass), Kate Pinkerton (mezzo), The Official Registrar (baritone)
Susannah:
Elder McLean (baritone), Elder Ott (baritone), Elder Gleaton (tenor), Elder Hayes (tenor), Mrs. Hayes (soprano), Mrs. Ott (mezzo), Mrs. Gleaton (soprano)
School Tour information:
"Old Maid and the Thief": Laetitia (s), Miss Todd (m), Miss Pinkerton (s), Bob (bar)
Tour Schedule:
Rehearsals period is August 28th – September
Tour Begins September 5th and ends Dec 1st
Tour will be all through-out Arizona
