Position Summary The School of Theatre Arts seeks an Assistant Professor to direct and teach acting in a highly active professionally focused BFA actor training program. The successful candidate will be part of the Division of Acting and Musical Theatre as one of 7 full time teaching faculty and will direct two productions per year. This is a Tenure Eligible position.
Duties and Responsibilities Direct two productions per year. At least one show will be a main-stage production for the Arizona Repertory Theatre, the School's Professional Training Program.
Teach undergraduate acting and directing courses as assigned.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications Not applicable for this position.
Additional Minimum Qualifications * MFA or Ph.D.
* Previous professional directing experience.
* Two years of university teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications * Membership in SSDC, AFTRA, SAG or AEA.
* Experience in film and/or television performance and/or directing.
* Strong foundation in process-oriented, Stanislavsk- based actor training.
* Interest in directing Musical Theatre productions.
