Thank you for your interest in the AET production of Ragtime.

RAGTIME REHEARSAL AND SHOW SCHEDULE:  CLICK HERE.   PLEASE REVIEW this schedule and be ready to talk about any conflicts during your audition. 

Please prepare 32-bars of a musical theatre track that showcases your range and personality.  Please do not select a song from the show, We will have a stereo with an AUX cord if needed.

You must enter your bio, resume and headshot in your Casting Manager account.  Please include both an active email (that you check regularly) and phone number. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you attended the AET 2022-23 Season Auditions and were called back for RAGTIME, you DO NOT need to sign-up for these auditions.  The individuals that are called back from Season Audition will be sent an email by Tuesday, November 1st.

Next Stage Theatre Southwest announces its next production: Halley Feiffer's hilarious (and touching) A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. 
A New York Times Critics' pick, Funny Thing is "a play that is as deeply felt as its name is long.... It makes a convincing case that hard laughter is an absolutely appropriate response to those moments when life seems like too bad a joke not to respond otherwise." 
Funny Thing has been staged to rave reviews across the country. "Raunchy and fearless...." (Theatermania); "A daring romantic comedy...." (Los Angeles Times). "A work with guts...powerful...full of farcical, caustic humor...and yet a lovely play about a coming together in the spirit of shared humanity." (Chicago Tribune). "The most sensational — and funniest — sex scene on a New York stage." (New York Times) 
Funny Thing runs 90 minutes, without intermission, with evening shows and weekend matinees at the Temple of Music and Art Cabaret Theater, 330 S. Scott Avenue, Tucson. Opening night is Saturday, November 19 at 7:30, and the play will run through Sunday, December 4. Tickets are $25, with discounts for Seniors, Students and Military. 
A preview night benefiting Arizona Oncology Foundation will be on Friday, November 18th. All ticket sales for the preview night will benefit Arizona Oncology Foundation who provides complimentary programs and services to those impacted by cancer. Tickets will be $50 ($25 tax-deductible).

The first IRHS show of the 2022-2023 season, November 3-5!  It is a great play in the Black Box, being performed in the round. The play is based on the Emmy award winning teleplay 12 Angry Men, but of course has an updated cast and time period. We are hoping many people will come to both enjoy a great show and support the IRHS Theatre program.

Okay so Megan may have killed Trevor, but it was an accident! Or it was self-defense. Or both! But now Liv, Amanda, and Katie have to decide exactly how far they're willing to go to help their co-worker in need. Killed a Man (Joking) is a pitch-black comedy about violence, justice, and what it really means to be a ride-or-die friend.

 

Killed A Man (Joking) is written by Beth Hyland, directed by Gabriella de Brequet, and stars Andy Johnson, Gianbari Deebom, Allison Akmajian, Czarina Nafarrate, and Zac Austin.

Borderlands Theater is hiring

a Production Manager for West Side Stories!

 

 

 

 

Borderlands Theater is hiring a Production Manager for our upcoming West Side Stories production. Be an integral part of this unique community driven collaboration with west side residents, civic partners, and non-profit service organizations. Work directly with Borderlands Theater ensemble members to create a cutting-edge site-specific theatre to build community, foster pride/belonging, and educate the public about Tucson's Sonoran-Barrio heritage.

 

Production Manager Duties include:

·    Interface with project partners, City of Tucson, and Borderlands Theater lead artists

·    Work with west side community organizations and vendors to manage their presence at the event

·    Coordinate volunteers

·    Draft contracts

·    Maintain production budget

·    Purchase project materials and pick up supplies

·    Attend production meetings

·    Reports to the Artistic Director

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

·    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·    Self-starter

·    Highly organized

·    Dependable

·    Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Sign-Up Genius, Google Forms)

·    Experience in event production or project management a plus

 

Additional qualifications (not required)

 

·     Batchelor's Degree or higher or relevant experience.

 

Work Modality and Compensation

·     In-person office at least two days a week, with additional hours working remotely.

·     $25-$35 per hour depending on experience. Approximately 300 work hours total.

·     Flexible work schedule, approximately 10-25 hours per week.

 

Limited hours in 2022, with majority of work from January to April, 2023.

Contract ends May 5, 2023 .
