About René Vaca
René Vaca is a 29-year-old stand-up comedian, writer, and actor born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. After dropping out of college to pursue his passion for comedy full-time, Vaca has not looked back — building one of the most impressive rapid rises in the current stand-up landscape.
His breakout came when he won the 16th Annual StandUp NBC Competition, a prestigious industry showcase that has launched the careers of numerous top comedians. That recognition opened major doors, and Vaca has walked through every one of them.
In 2024, Vaca was selected as one of Netflix’s featured Introducing comedians at the prestigious Netflix Is a Joke Festival — one of the highest-profile showcases in comedy.
