Bisbee's Obscure Productions Announces "Babe, the Sheep Pig"

Bisbee's Obscure Productions is readying its third multigenerational production, "Babe, the Sheep Pig," written by David Wood and based on the book by Dick King Smith. Performances will be at 7:30 pm on June 20, 21 and 22, 2008 outdoors in Bisbee's City Park. Admission is free.

Bisbee's City Park is located in Old Bisbee down Brewery Gulch and up the stairs. Admission to the show will be free thanks to the support of individuals, businesses and foundations, and the hard work of BOP's cast and crew. Bring your own chairs and refreshments.

This version of "Babe" is taken from the original book, and, though not the Disney version, the story and characters are just as wonderful and appealing. "Babe" is directed by Liz Lockwood and features Rachel Kuntz as Babe, Rae Jones as Fly, Frank Kiman, aka Pablo Pencil, as Farmer Hogget and C. Gilles-Brown in the cameo role of Ma.

This production is supported by the City of Bisbee, the Bisbee Arts Commission and the Bisbee Community Foundation. Any additional donations are tax deductible and will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged.

For more information, call (520) 432-2901 or email bisbeesobscure@gmail.com. Donations can be mailed to Bisbee's Obscure Productions, PO Box 277, Bisbee AZ 85603.
