"TransFormations" is a one-actor play about transgender people, their lives and their stories. With truth and a generous amount of humor, as well as touches of activism and politics, TransFormations is a poignant theatrical experience and a statement of transgender pride, directed by Tom Slauson. Written and performed by Martie van der Voort, a Tucson actor and therapist who developed the script through formal interviews, advocacy work and friendships with members of the transgender community, it has been described as "important theatre that must be seen."
Recently back from a successful run in Boulder, she will perform "TransFormations" in Tucson for one night only, as the Keynote Production for Transgender Awareness Week.
