The classic tale of Beauty and her Beast undergoes a stunning transformation in this mystical, whimsical production from All Together Theatre. Featuring wonderful new music and a twist on the classic tale by Michael Martinez, children and their families are invited to follow a young girl named Beauty through rose gardens, castle courtyards and a misty forest under the rule of a giant Owl. With a lot of help from a Parisian faerie and no help at all from a beastly Prince named Godfrey, our heroine sets out to break a spell and recapture her Grandmother’s voice.

JOAN VAN DYKE - Nonny / The Great Owl - is happy to be once again on the stage of LTW and working with All Together Theatre, having previously been seen with the troupe in OSO FUERTE and ABI YOYO. Her interest in children’s theatre began when she - with eight other college friends from the U of A Drama Department - transformed into The Pied Piper’s Players. They took Mesa, Arizona by storm for a summer of children’s plays right through the monsoon season. That was some fifty years ago and Joan still loves to discover magic upon the stage with an audience of children.
