Subject: Arizona Onstage Productions seeking 3 male singer/actors for upcoming musical - SEE ROCK CITY
Arizona Onstage Productions (Sweeney Todd, Master Class, Spelling Bee) is looking for three men for the upcoming regional premiere of the Off Broadway musical See Rock City..and other destinations - This contemporary rock musical recently won the Drama Desk Award for best book/lyrics, beating heavy players such as The Book of Mormon, as well as The Richard Rogers Award for BEST NEW MUSICAL.
Roles Available:
Dempsey/Tour Guide - playing two characters, the tour guide has a beautiful number near the end of the show - the actor needs to be able to sing pop music in a legit way as well as read 30 - 40 years old.
Coney Boys- roles are open for two strong singer actors to play prep school best friends, one of whom has possible romantic feelings towards the other. These characters need to read 18 - 24. Actors need to have a very strong legit pop voice as well as being ok with profanity in the lyrics.
The rest of the roles have been cast.
SEE ROCK CITY plays the first three weekends in November at the Cabaret Space located above the Historic Temple of Music and Art.
There are no huge parts in this shows - it is a sort of 'slide show' of American life as told through short scenes that have common threads. Because of this, it is also a shorter rehearsal period.
These are paid roles.
