The School of Theatre, Film & Television Studio Series presents On the Verge, or, The Geography of Yearning by Eric Overmyer
Tucson, AZ - The School of Theatre, Film & Television Studio Series presents On the Verge, or, The Geography of Yearning by Eric Overmyer, November 15-17 at 8pm and November 18 at 2pm in the Harold Dixon Directing Studio, Drama Bldg., Room 116 (UA campus located near the SE corner of Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard).
On the Verge, or, The Geography of Yearning, directed by Molly Lyons, is a mesmerizing tale of three women who join forces to explore and conquer Terra Incognita, the last and most mysterious of unexplored territories. As they journey, they reminisce about past adventures and mediate on the outer and inner frontiers of what it means to be human.
Guest Director Lyons is excited to bring the imaginative work of the playwright, Eric Overmyer, to life. “I have loved this play for a long time and am thrilled to be directing it.” Lyons brings her many years of experience as an actor and director to the play to create a wonderful theatrical experience. “As a classical director and actor, the rich language is heaven.” She further reveals that “As an artist, bending tradition is always exciting.”
Ticket prices are $7 and can be purchased at tickets.arizona.edu or by calling the College of Fine Arts Box Office at (520) 621-1162 or in person at 1025 N. Olive Road. Box office hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 12-4pm. Seating is general admission. All evening performances are followed by a post-show discussion with members of the cast and creative team. Studio Series productions contain mature content and are not suitable for children.

The Studio Series is dedicated to supporting original, contemporary, and experimental performance through a bare essentials production model with the primary focus on the artistic and intellectual labor of theatre students.
