Subject: ATCteen 2019/2020 Season Begins!

 

 

Arizona Theatre Company's extracurricular education program ATCteen is starting its 2019/2020 season!  

ATCteen is a free learner-driven interdisciplinary theatre education program. Our mission is to provide quality experiential learning opportunities while empowering strong leaders, developing empathetic artists, and allowing our students to explore their unique passions.  Teen members can curate their educational experience by picking from a variety of classes and activities or designing their own projects. 

ATCteen will be holding our first Full Assembly of the year from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday August 24^th. Anyone interested in seeing what ATCteen is about is encouraged to come to this meeting. We will be discussing the three shows we are doing this season as well as our general goals for the program this year.  

ATCteen is offering a variety of new classes this season that anyone ages 13-19 can join for free! Improv and Playwriting start this Saturday August 24^th. Acting and Dance will begin on Monday September 2^nd. Enrollment will be held open throughout the season, so anyone can join at any time.  

Improv Troup: Every Saturday 4:00-6:00 

Playwriting: Every Saturday 6:00-8:00 

Acting & Voice: Every Monday 6:00-7:00 

Dance & Movement: Every Monday 7:15-8:30 

All classes will be held at the ATC admin building at 334 S Scott Ave across the street from the Temple of Music and Art. If you’re interested in joining any of our classes please email aburke@arizonatheatrecompany.org 

 

Upcoming Auditions! 

Stay tuned for more information, because auditions for our first show of the year will be on September 1^st and 2^nd! The show is Lock In of the Living Dead, a student-written jukebox musical parody with zombies. Anyone ages 13-19 is encouraged to audition and join ATCteen. Email aburke@arizonatheatrecompany.org for more information.
