Unscrewed Theater shows, classes and Halloween fun!

Of course, we've got a full month of shows (SEVENTEEN of them, to be exact). You can *always* find our all-ages shows every Friday & Saturday night @ 7:30, but did you know we have Musical Improv, Unscrewed Family Hour (Improv JUST for KIDS!), UNCENSORED Improv, a Double Feature Show, AND four free shows this month? I know. Who can keep track? But they're always listed on our website - and you can get tickets for anyone of them right here.

We're starting off the month with our last round of improv classes for 2019.  Starting with Our Improv Basics class this Saturday, 10/5 – facilitated by Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed veteran, Jessica Spenny. Eight weeks of more laughter than you could ever imagine AND a free t-shirt. Unless you've already taken this class, you really can't imagine how much fun it is. No matter who you are.

Not sure why you should take a class?  Give me a call at (520) 289-8076. I mean it. I'll tell you how finding improv changed my life and explain how just "practicing" improv can change the way you see the world. And vice versa.

Now, if you've already taken our Improv Basics class, you can come back for more with our Character & Spacework ImprovBlox Class, facilitated by none other than Scott Shaver and Cy Barlow. These two seasoned performers and instructors will lead the way through 8 weeks of expanding your improv skill sets and expanding your comfort zone to include new ways to relate with the world both on and off stage.

Hey, did you realize HALLOWEEN is right around the corner? If you don't, I bet the youngsters in your life know it!

Our Unscrewed Family Hour is a special HALLOWEEN show this month. Comic Chaos and Active Imagination Theater have planned an interactive and improvisational show – ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS! (and those who travel with kids.) They'll take the stage at 6pm on Saturday 10/12, ready to take your suggestions to drive the show to new heights of hilarity. Your kids can use this chance to try out their new costumes AND get on stage if they want!

Also in October, we host a bi-annual Blood Drive for the American Red Cross, and the next one is Saturday, October 19th. We'll host the drive in our Unscrewed Center, right next door to the theater. EVERYONE that even tries to donate blood will receive TWO FREE TICKETS to one our shows. Call Mike Vietinghoff at 520-289-8076 to reserve your time, or sign up online at www.RedCrossBlood.org with the sponsor code Unscrewed.

That VERY SAME NIGHT (10/19) is the debut of our new house team, BIG DADDIES, at 9:00 pm in our House Team Double Feature Show. What a great way to use that free ticket – seeing the debut performance of veteran performers Mike Pierce and Matt Beaudry as they combine their talents in new and exciting long-form IMPROV ways!

But I've saved the most EXCITING PART for last!  We're proud and excited to have Rick and & Laura Hall back in Tucson and ON OUR STAGE!  You remember Laura Hall, right? She's that amazingly talented improvisational musician on "Whose Line Is It Anyway".  Laura and Rick will facilitate TWO workshops on Saturday, October 26th, and then take the stage for our 9:00 pm show the same day.  This only happens once a year, and both the workshops and show SELL OUT.

Just sayin'. You know what they say about a word to the wise. Get your tickets early.

This month, we're partnering with Bag-It, a local Non-Profit organization that educates, empowers, and connects cancer patients and their caregivers with the right information, right when they need it most. They'll have a table in our lobby all month – ready to talk to you about their important work and how your generous donations will be put to good use.

See you at Unscrewed Theater!
