As the holidays approach, we know that there are many hungry people in Tucson for whom the holidays -- and every day -- are a challenge. Now for the 23rd year to lend a hand, Sons of Orpheus -- the Male Choir of Tucson along with the students of the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (A.S.D.B.) conduct a food drive to help the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona accomplish their wonderful mission. In the last 14 years alone, Orpheus' efforts have raised over $100,000, gathered over eight tons of food, and touched the hearts of the citizens all over Southern Arizona.

Our quest for donations and food culminates on December 1st with a special Holiday Concert at the Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway, on the campus of A.S.D.B.

The concert features inspiring, heart-warming performances by students from the School for the Blind, a mix of holiday favorites by Sons of Orpheus; "Mariachi el Quinto Sol," and other Special Guest performers.

Wednesday, December 1st, at 7:00 P.M. Admission is a non-perishable food item or preferably a check made out to the Community Food Bank. With every dollar you donate, the Food Bank can purchase four meals or $9.00 in food. Donations to our Virtual Food Drive can also be made on line at: www.communityfoodbank.org/Sons-of-Orpheus

Please save the date, Wednesday, December 1st, at 7 P.M., and join us for the most heart and stomach-warming concert of the holiday season.

P.S.: Each of us knows where our next meal is coming from; some of our neighbors are not so fortunate.
