Join us for our opening night party!

Before there was Rent, there was tick, tick...BOOM!, an autobiographical musical depicting Jon Larson's struggle to choose perseverance over compromise.

Jon's turning 30 and he doesn't like the idea one bit. Wasn't he supposed to be Stephen Sondheim by now? His best friend, Mike, wants him to join the corporate world and his girlfriend, Susan, wants to settle down in New England. His project of the last five years, Superbia, is heading into workshop and Jon's counting on it spring-boarding his musical theater career.

But what if he turns 30 and nothing changes?

With fourteen songs, three actors, and a live band, tick, tick...BOOM! tells the story of a playwright/composer's journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster, in his own words. tick, tick...BOOM! stars Ensemble Member Tyler Gastelum, with Zach Wetzel and Allie Rowe making their Winding Road debuts! Directed by Artistic Director Maria Caprile with music direction by Zach Wetzel.

All performances will take place at the Cabaret Theatre at the Temple for Music and Art 330 S Scott Ave, Tucson.

Winding Road is an itinerant theater, which means that we rent our performance space and technical equipment for every show. We'd like your help in investing in the quality of our future productions, as we raise funds to purchase our own lighting equipment! Our $6000 goal will enable us to light up the stage with a complete set of moving fixtures that will enhance Winding Road productions for years to come!
