Teen/Adult Winter Intensive

January 7th to 11th 6-9 pm $175 for the week
This will be a great chance to get a jump on spring training, focus on conditioning, stretching and that skill that you've been struggling with or want to put a lot of work into. We'll also focus on some invented apparatus and skills such as rope that we don't get to touch on as often. Register in person or by email.

CHECK IT OUT

This year there are two ways to look before you leap in to Tucson Fringe.  The inaugural TWO-MINUTE PREVIEW PARTY takes place at Borderlands Brewing Company on Thursday January 10th at 6pm. This FREE event, MC'd by Fringe fave Tyler West, will give audiences s two-minute preview of over half the shows in the festival, as well as prizes, raffles, and discounted tickets during the party.  On Thursday and Friday (January 10 & 11th) at Bookmans Midtown and Bookmans East artists from the Festival will be presenting 10-30 minutes of their shows for free. TICKET FAQ

Where can I pick up my tickets that I ordered online? Show your receipt / confirmation at the venue to pick up your tickets.

I ordered a two-show pass. Do I need to tell you which two shows I'm going to see?
Nope. Just show your receipt / confirmation at the first show. You'll receive your two-show pass then. Remember, you still need to buy your Fringe Button, which you can do online or at the venue.

Where can I pick up the day pass / all-festival pass? Bring your receipt / confirmation to Fringe Central [197 E. Toole Loading Dock, directly next door to StudioONE].  A Fringe Button is included with these passes.

Why do I need a festival button? That is the only money that goes towards festival operations. Everything else goes directly to the performing artists. 

Can I buy tickets once the festival starts? Yes. Always bring your receipt  / confirmation printed or on your smartphone since we'll only update our printed presale list once during the festival.

Can I buy tickets or two-show passes at the door? Always. Every venue.

Guys and Dolls is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of pairings: a high-rolling gambler wooing a puritanical missionary and a showgirl dreaming of marriage with a crap game manager who is anything but.

Set in the Manhattan of Damon Runyon’s short stories and showcasing colorful characters including driven gamblers, petty racketeers, and chewing gum-smacking showgirls, Guys and Dolls tells of con-man Nathan Detroit’s efforts to set up a floating crap game while avoiding the wrath of his fiancé, the delightful Miss Adelaide (who is desperate to marry Nathan after a 14 -year engagement).

Guys and Dolls features some of Frank Loesser’s most memorable tunes, including the hilarious “Adelaide’s Lament,” the romantic “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” the exuberant “If I Were a Bell,” and the classic “Luck Be a Lady."

Ballet Tucson is delighted to be a participating organization in the 2019 Tucson Desert Song Festival.  The theme for this year's festival is Latin American and Spanish music and Ballet Tucson will present Viva Piazzolla! in collaboration with Tucson Guitar Society and The Rogue Theatre. 

The company leads a stellar cast in this full-evening theatrical experience portraying the emotionally charged life of legendary composer and nuevo tango godfather, Astor Piazzolla.  Special guest artists include singer Carlos Zapién and musicians Bandini-Chiacchiaretta Duo from Italy incorporating both guitar and bandoneon (the unique sound/instrument synonymous with Piazzolla) into the production.

The artistic team of Chieko Imada and Mary Beth Cabana has created an original, exciting work which reflects the progression of Piazzolla's musical compositions, moving stylistically from classic to contemporary "nuevo tango" music.  Visual drama, lush movement, engaging dialogue, and passionate live music and song combine for a spectacular Winter Concert.
