Plot: While the King seeks to acquire the moon for his ailing daughter - Jingles, the Jester and his Dog, Yippy, save the day when the Kingdom’s geranium crop is endangered by the corrupt High Chamberlain.

THE INVISIBLE THEATRE ANNOUNCES

AUDITIONS FOR THE 2007—2008 SEASON

 

The Invisible Theatre will hold auditions for the 2007-2008 Season on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 – 4:00 pm.  Auditions will be held at the Invisible Theatre - 1400 N. First Ave (at Drachman). 

 

Appointments are required and may be made by calling (520) 882-9721.

 

Actors must bring a recent headshot and resume, and are required to prepare one monologue that is 2 minutes in length.  Those interested in auditioning for the musical should also prepare one song but no musical appointment will be provided.  A cassette/CD player will be available.  The total length of the audition should not exceed 4 minutes.

 

Equity actors are invited to audition.  If you have acted with the Invisible Theatre before you do not need to come to this audition – just let us know your availability.  If you are out of town on June 2, please drop off your resume, headshot and include your availability.

 

Callbacks for specific roles in specific productions will be held at a later date.

Actors are paid an honorarium.

There are two additional small male roles available with age ranges from 20-50.

 

Synopsis of play:

A late middle-aged zoo attendant still has lingering visions of being a songwriter, and these hopes are buoyed by his mistress who lives downstairs. On the day the Pope is making his first visit to New York, the mistress talks him into calling his old school chum, now a big Hollywood producer, for a job writing music for films. At the same time his son comes home AWOL from Fort Dix carrying a bomb with which he intends to blow up the Pope in Yankee Stadium. The songwriter has meantime called for the jiffy wagon to come and take away his cuckoo wife (her name is Bananas). The big time producer arrives shortly after his fiancée, who has broken her hearing aid, and at about the same time that three sightseeing nuns drop in from the roof. The son's bomb goes off prematurely, killing a bunch of these characters, and the producer ends by eloping to Australia with the songwriter's mistress. We are back at the beginning, with the frustrated songwriter and his nutty wife.  Winner of the 1971 Critics Award and the Obie Award as Best American Play, House of Blue Leaves was recently revived on Broadway. "A brilliant play... beautifully fashioned.... Wacky and sometimes sad [with]... combined hilarity, poignancy, outrageous stage aside and tragedy." N.Y. Daily News. Director: Darren Montgomery. Souldjier is a short, dramatic project to be
shot in hd. It follows the story of a young Man who has been sent to the
Iraqi war with his best friend. During an intense firefight, his friend is
placed in a difficult situation. When he sees that he has the chance to save
his friend, he freezes, unable to do so. His friend is severely injured, and
is then sent home, paralyzed. Upon his own return, he now must deal with the
aftermath of this scenario.

We are in need of Men, and Women, ranging from 18, to 60.

In Depression-era California, unable to maintain stable work because of
Lennie's low mental capacity, George and Lennie find work on a ranch,
dreaming of one day owning a ranch of their own. Their hopes, like "the best

making friends, their world is ripped apart by tragedy. John Steinbeck's

Arizona Opera Chorus members of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA)

of opera's greatest moments, some of Arizona's finest musical talent will

Backstage at the Opera is a rare opportunity for the chorus members to step
out of the crowd and share their talents in the spotlight - alone or with

love to do best, but we get to be an active part of raising money and
support for Arizona Opera." This is the third annual presentation of

Opera will be performed at the Phoenix Boy's Choir Facility in a wonderfully

buffet of desserts and coffee. All performers donate their time and talents

This is a short film project of the western genre. In the style of the Dollars films (Clint Eastwood). The scenes are an interior saloon interaction followed by an exterior show down and shoot out using blank firing only pistols. The characters needed will not make it through the shoot out. The expected call time is 9:30AM 30minutes north of Benson, AZ and the estimate wrap time is 5:00PM.

**Seeking 4 males to play friends of another character age range 25-35.
Date: Saturday May 19th 9:30AM- 5:00PM (- ish)

Being able to supply wardrobe and transportation a plus.

Looking for Caucasion actors who speak foreign languages. 

 

This is a film, short comedy. It is for the establishing shot, the very begining of the movie.

I want the actor to improvise in whatever language they speak in. Male or female would

do and the age is irrelevant. 

 

The shooting will be in El Ojillo cafe on stone ave. And we'll probably do it on weekend. It shouldn't take more than an hour to film.
