Tucson: Waypoint Theatre presents Christmas Classics.& Other Cool Yule!

Waypoint Theatre Company- southern Arizona’s only faith based live theatre organization, is serving up generous portions of joyful Christmas Spirit and laughter with their family-friendly production of Christmas Classics…& Other Cool Yule! a comic collection of favorite Christmas sketches by various artists.

December 9 - 13, 2009 Atria Bell Court Gardens’ Academy Hall Theater

6653 E. Carondelet Drive (northeast of St. Joseph’s Medical Center)

 

An assortment of desserts and beverages will be served in premium table seating along with the requested singing serenades 30 minutes prior to the show. Various solos and ensembles including Frosty dressed as Elvis, "James Brown" belting out Rudolph and a return to the disco 70s with "Mrs. Santa" singing Santa Baby with the Dynamo backups. There are also pre-show raffles including a Vacation Get Away for two and several quality items for holiday gift giving.

 

Dessert includes a variety of decorated cookies and fudge, mixed nuts, coffee and tea. The show features five Christmas comedy sketches, with audience sing-along of favorite carols and traditions sharing.

 

Christmas Classics… & Other Cool Yule! runs for one week only, Wednesday, December 9 through Sunday, December 13 with a  7pm evening performance December 13th benefiting the Gospel Rescue Mission’s new Women and Children’s Center. Mr. Scott Munro, Director of Development and Expansion for the Gospel Rescue Mission, will be present to lead a short discussion after the show about the organization.  $10 from each adult ticket will go directly to purchasing a bunk-bed set for the new Women and Children’s Center.

 

Performances Wed, Thurs, Fri (Dec 9 - 11) at 7:00 p.m. (7:30 play only), with two shows Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. (2:00 play only) and 7:00 p.m. (7:30 play only). Total running time: 85 minutes, no intermission.
