FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BEN SIEMS, NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED JAZZ GUITARIST, TO PERFORM MULTIPLE SHOWS IN TUCSON IN JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2012
Since January 2010, live music fans in Tucson have caught fleeting glimpses of a visitor from the North, jazz guitarist Ben Siems. Siems has paid multiple visits to Sonoran country, dazzling audiences with both his virtuosic playing and his distinctive repertoire of award-winning original compositions. In February 2011, he performed as the featured guest artist with the Pete Swan Trio at Old Pueblo Grille, to a jam-packed and enthralled house. Now, this soft-spoken artist will treat Tucsonan music lovers to multiple performances during a three-month sojourn in our sunny city.
The recipient of a half-dozen awards in the Song of the Year international songwriting contest and over ten grants from sources including The American Composers Forum and Meet the Composer, Inc., Siems charted as the #1 New Artist on XM Satellite Radio Real Jazz in early 2006. His guitar work has been the subject of multiple articles in Jazz Improv and Cadence magazines, while his work as a composer has drawn praise from journals and websites worldwide. His four CDs of original music have been aired on over sixty radio stations in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
