OPEN CASTING CALL (University of Arizona)

Open Casting Call for UA School of Theatre, Film and TV Senior Films

Film Production BFA Seniors are holding an Open Casting Call to audition for roles in the 13 short fiction films being produced this fall. The auditions will take place Friday September 20th, from 9am-5pm and Sunday, September 22nd, from 12-4pm in the Harvill Bldg. classroom 104 (1103 E. 2nd St) at the University of Arizona.

Actors will be scheduled in advanced to attend time slots, with "drop-ins" accepted on a limited basis. Actors will perform "cold" readings with sides available at the audition.

The films include a range of styles and need male and female actors of various ages and ethnicities, including male children. Additionally, the films themselves cover a broad range range of topics and genres. Summaries of the projects will be available for review at the call. If you have a specific question regarding need for your "type" please feel free to ask.

The production periods range from mid-October to early December; exact shooting dates depend on individual productions. Union actors are welcome, but must be willing to work under the Student Film Agreement.

Actors are encouraged to bring a headshot and resume to the audition, in addition to attaching it to their audition slot request email, if available digitally.

The films will be presented at a public screening event "I Dream in Widescreen" at the Fox Theatre in May 2014 and then go on to the festival circuit in the following months.

To schedule an audition, reply to this email with preferred times and if possible, a headshot and resume.
