Audition Announcement:
This is an audition announcement for the Comedy Playhouse production of "Tinseltown", written by James Mitchell Gooden.
In the golden age of Hollywood where the studios were kings, a fresh-faced, Midwestern ingenue named Dotty steps off the bus ready to make her dreams come true. As fate would have it, she gets her big break opposite an aging movie legend named Norma Crawford, but Norma is not ready to let another star take her place.  Thus begins an all-out war to find out who will reign in "Tinsel Town". This hilarious musical, written by local playwright James Mitchell Gooden, brings comedy, music and dancing nuns to the Comedy Playhouse. Come join the mayhem!
The musical will run from August 7 until September 13.  We are looking for actors and actresses of all ages who can sing. The auditions will be held on Saturday May 30th between 10 am and 4 pm by appointment only at the Playhouse (3620 N 1st Avenue).  To schedule your audition, call Nell at 520-270-9310. We will also accept walk-ins between 4 and 5 pm. Please be prepared to sing a song, a capella (without accompaniment). We will also provide sides for cold readings.  If you have a resume please bring it.  Headshots are not needed. Come for the fun of it!
