More information:

Sanford Meisner's name and training system is connected to some of the greatest names of the American stage and screen: Gregory Peck, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall, Kim Basinger, Gene Hackman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Dylan McDermott, Jeff Goldblum and David Mamet, among many others. Today, his work is seen as essential for the performer wishing to bring more authenticity, spontaneity, truthfulness, specificity and being in the moment into their work.

In five simple yet deep exercises participants will learn the entire architecture of the Meisner technique. Moreso, they may discover a way of working that transforms, lightens and enriches their entire way of being as an artist. At the end of this workshop, participants will have both a comprehensive understanding of the Meisner technique and its values, as well as having tools to take immediately into their work.

This workshop is ideal for the following people:

anyone who has ever heard the phrase "be in the moment" and secretly wondered what that really meant

performers who want in-depth exposure to something new and relevant

performers seeking tools for being truthful, spontaneous, and impulsive in their work

performers wanting to bring more authenticity into their performances

directors wishing to discover new approaches to authenticity and truthfulness for actors

writers wanting to understand and experience the process of the performer from the inside

performers of other mediums, including physical theatre, dance, puppetry, performance poetry, and storytelling looking to be more engaged and alive in their work

people who suffer from anxiety in either public speaking, performance, or day-to-day interactions and wish to improve their communications skills

practitioners and researchers interested in behavior and ways to explore its momentary nature
