Pima students showcase their creativity with videos, films, stories, poems and visual art....

PCC Digital Arts - 
DIGITAL VIDEO & FILM SCREENING
May 18-19, 7 p.m. 
Proscenium Theatre

Free admission

The screening includes film and video work from students in the beginning and advanced classes. The program is different each night. The advanced cinematography project "American Burger" will screen both nights. The film is about the coming of age of a group of fast food workers in an unusual restaurant. "American Burger" is directed by James Alvarez. The screening is free and open to the public. Please note: Some of the work contains adult content and language.

Sandscript is an annually published, award-winning book featuring student poetry, prose and visual art under the direction of Joshua Cochran. The unveiling event highlights readings and visual art from the newly released 2015 book. Meet the students whose work was chosen to be published in this year's book. Awards will be given.

WRITERS' WORKSHOP

Cost and Registration $150

Workshops for all writers, beginning and experienced. The 27th annual Writers' Workshop offers opportunities to talk and consult with award-winning writers and literary agents from around the country, as well as to write. The event kicks off at 7 p.m., May 28 at the Riverpark Inn, 350 S. Freeway, with a meet-the-authors reception. A dozen authors and literary agents will talk about writing and publishing fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and stories for kids.
