DJ in Onederland
Written and composed by Gretchen Wirges
August 14 - September 18, 2022
Sundays at 1:00pm

DJ in Onederland is a hip hop musical about the pains of growing up. As DJ gets ready to start high school, they become challenged to let go of childhood and fanciful imagination, plunging DJ through a door in time, and into a fantastical, technicolor world. This journey through 1derland and back again introduces DJ to a cast of fascinating and lyrical characters who help DJ learn about the true meaning and gifts of growing up.

LTW’s Children’s Theatre produces 6 original musicals written and composed by local artists each year. Providing the Tucson community with outstanding professional performances for young audiences and the young at heart.

People auditioning should email a headshot and resume to our Director of Children’s Programming, Amanda Gremel at amanda.g@livetheatreworkshop.org and will be assigned a time to arrive for their audition.

Please prepare a comedic one-minute monologue, a 32-bar musical selection and a 32-bar rap, both to pre recorded music. Please send an MP3 File ahead of your audition. A Cappella songs are not recommended.

Auditions will take place in person at our new theatre campus at 3322 E. Fort Lowell Road. Additional safety precautions (listed on this page) will be in place to keep all staff and those auditioning safe. If you are unable to attend in person, we can schedule a Zoom audition during the audition date and time. In person auditions are encouraged.

Live Theatre workshop staff cannot schedule individual or make-up auditions, but those unable to attend the audition date may submit a headshot and resume via email.
