Subject: New Year Circus Announcements: Camp dates, Workshops, Shows
Happy New Year!!!
We can't wait to see everyone for another year of circus!
We have a big schedule of events this semester and a lot of fun stuff going on so please read through for all the updates, reminders, and announcements!
Classes Resume Jan. 15th and there are still some open spaces so register today!!!
First! A big Announcement about the next phase of our development. As of January 2024 we'll be operating as the Circus and Aerial Academy of Tucson, INC and we are in the process of applying for 501c3 non-profit status. This will allow us to more fully pursue our goals of offering accessible circus arts education to the community.
We'll still be the same awesome team offering the programming that you are used to, but this will allow us to expand and develop in our mission in a more meaningful way moving forward.
We'll be having an official launch event later this year with a chance to meet board members and learn more, keep an eye out!
A few reminders:
Students, please come to class with long hair in a bun. It is a safety issue and it is important to keep our hair out of the way of our apparatus.
Makeup Class policy- Please remember, we try to be as flexible as possible with offering makeups, but the policy is that we can schedule you a makeup class if you let us know ahead of time that you'll miss class. Please let us know as soon as you know that you'll miss. This helps us and it helps you. The more we know who will and won't be there the easier it is for us to be flexible and to schedule makeups for you. We really appreciate it!
Rodeo Camp and Summer Camp
Rodeo camp will run February 22nd and 23rd from 9-4, $150 for both days.

February Workshop Schedule
We have two awesome guest instructors offering a schedule of workshops this February!
Rachel Walker is an aerial coach residing in Montreal. Trained by legendary
trapeze teacher Victor Fomine, she co-created and starred in the iconic
solo swinging trapeze act in Kooza by Cirque du Soleil. A 2012 graduate of
the Trainer in Circus Arts program at École Nationale de Cirque, she has
since become a guest instructor at ENC and many other facilities
worldwide. Rachel has co-created acts and trained artists for Cirque du
Soleil (O, Varekai, Luzia, Joyà), Dragone (Le Rêve), Cavalia (Odysseo),
NoFit State Circus (Lexicon), and many more. Her students have won
prizes at prestigious circus festivals SOLyCIRCO (Germany), Youngstage
(Switzerland), and Wuqiao (China).
