the Play
Set in a small-town Louisiana beauty salon, Steel Magnolias is a hilarious and
heartfelt story about the unbreakable bond between six extraordinary women.
From side-splitting humor to deeply touching moments, this beloved play will
make audiences laugh, cry, and fall in love.
Who
We’re Looking For
We’re casting six powerhouse roles, each with unique charm and personality.
Check out these amazing characters:
Truvy Jones
(40s): The big-hearted, quick-witted owner of the beauty salon. Think sassy
Southern charm with a side of hairspray.
Annelle
Dupuy-Desoto (19-early 20s): The shy, sweet assistant with a mysterious
past—and a surprising transformation.
Clairee Belcher
(60s): A grande dame of the South with a sharp tongue and a love for good
gossip. (Oh, and football, of course!)
Shelby
Eatenton-Latcherie (25): Spirited, strong-willed, and as sweet as the desserts
she loves to bake.
M'Lynn Eatenton
(40s-50s): Shelby’s devoted mom, who’s as practical as she is protective.
Ouiser Boudreaux
(60s): She’s cranky, bold, and unapologetically herself—but underneath it all,
she’s got a heart of gold.
