Job Title: Quartet Lead

Reports To: Cast Supervisor

Type of position: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Employee Classification: Seasonal - Yuletide

Compensation: $18-$23 per hour

 

Job Summary: The Quartet Lead will perform with the OTE Carolers and maintain the music and vocal quality set forth by the music director. The Quartet Lead will be responsible for giving notes to the quartet, leading them in vocal warm-ups and calling any rehearsals necessary during the run of the show as desired by the music director. Quartet lead will also be working in an environment where direct interaction with audience members of all ages will be essential to achieve the desired feel of the show. Singing and choreography may be required during certain quartet sets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Memorization and performance of a character.
• Ability to teach music and perfect a quartet sound
• Learn staging, music, and choreography.
• Receive new dialogue and memorize in a timely manner.
• Learn, teach, and perform songs.
• Become familiar with company guidelines and rules.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises management with related concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:

• Ability to work up to long days with prolonged standing
• Prior acting and/or improvisation experience
• Prior work in theme park events and non-traditional performance environments
• Prior quartet and caroling experience
• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to an everchanging environment. 
• Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and late hours as production schedule may dictate
• Commitment to working under shared leadership and in cross-functional teams

Work Environment:

• Standing, walking, and running in locations with unbalanced footing.
• Varying temperatures and weather conditions; both indoor and outdoor. 
• Fast paced and exciting environment.
• Evening and Weekend work
