Old Pueblo Playwrights cordially invite you to attend their weekly meeting, Monday, January 8, 2024 beginning at 7 pm. This will be a hybrid meeting with some attending in person at St. Francis in the Foothills, Room 50. (

We do not have a play reading scheduled. We will have a general business meeting with President John Vornholt setting the agenda.
We will likely discuss and/or determine the upcoming New Play Festival audition/callbacks dates. Playwrights with plays planned for the April festival are urged to attend. That list includes, Sydney Flynn, Vince Flynn, Sharon Surhoff, Mel Hector, Debra Vassallo, Larry Gutman, Liisa Rose, Dave Sewell, Gavin Kayner, Scott Berg and David Zinke. Be sure to have a list of roles you will need to cast from the auditions.
Playwrights note: Readers who read your play during regular meetings can be but are not automatically "grandfathered" into those roles in a festival. We often utilize some actor/readers who appear in others works as well. Some of those actors have involvement limitations of their own. Be prepared to recast your play as needed.
We also need to re-populate our paid membership list. The list of paid members so far includes, Anne, Larry, Kevin, John H., Sherrye, Joe, Sydney, Vince, Carol, Sharon, Jeff, Mel, John V., and David Z. Please forgive and correct any omissions to this list.
