Rincon/University High School's theatre department brings you a hilarious satire of the loose morals during the Reign of Louis XIV by the King of Satire, Moliere.  Translated by Richard Wilbur, the script tells the story of Sgnarelle, a cranky puritan who chooses to keep his fiance locked up so as to keep her chaste.  His brother, the older but wiser Ariste allows his fiance a bit of modern freedom.  In the end each man gets what he deserves.

This production is the final part of Maryann Green's Master's Degree program (MA in Directing from Chicago College of Performing Arts) and is the culmination of a year's worth of work by cast, crew and director.
