Dear Lighting Designers,

 

 Below you will find an invitation to participate in a lighting design competition.  Please pass this invitation along to whomever you like in the Rocky Mountain Region.  We would like to get as many entries as possible, so please extend this invitaiton to as many talented designers as you can think of.  If you have any questions about this competition, please feel free to give me a call.  All entries must be received by 4:00 PM mountain time on 5/5/06.

You are cordially invited to participate in a Lighting Design Competition, in celebration of: Barbizon

Light of the Rockies 10th year of service in the Rocky Mountain Region.

We are requesting submissions from the best professional and emerging professional lighting

designers in the Rocky Mountain Region. This competition is intended to gather regional lighting

designs and award the best designs. We will also showcase the work submitted at our 10th

Anniversary open house event and they may be shown at other Barbizon events.

 

• Entries are limited to lighting designs. No set, sound, or costume designs will be accepted.

• Entries must be submitted on CD or in electronic format, no paper entries will be accepted.

• Entries must include 5-10 photos (.jpg or .pdf format only please)

• Entries must include a descriptive written statement about the design.

• Judges will not be able to attend any performances of or see any of the design entries, therefore only the information submitted will be judged.

• Those wishing to submit multiple entries will be allowed, but only awarded for one if chosen a winner.

• All information submitted will not be returned and becomes the property of Barbizon Light of the Rockies once submitted.

• All entries must be received by May 5th, 2006 @ 4:00 p.m.

• Best overall design – Trophy – $250.00 cash
