da Vinci Players presents tick, tick...BOOM! by Jonathan Larson. This autobiographical musical by the author of RENT gives the audience a rare and honest look into the creative process of this brilliant composer, who captivated the musical theatre world with his brand of rock music. Clever, poignant, and edgy, tick, tick...BOOM! takes us on Larson's anxious two-week personal journey before turning thirty, questioning his choice to pursue his dream of becoming a successful composer while his friends are settling for a "real life."
The show opens this weekend at Studio Connections Fine Arts Center, located on the campus of the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew, 9071 E. Old Spanish Trail, between Camino Seco and Harrison, south of Broadway.
