"Tell Your Story on Stage" with Marga Gomez
(a 4 week online solo performance workshop for all levels of experience)
Learn how to create a one person show from the life you have lived. In a supportive, safe and upbeat group environment, Marga Gomez will offer tools, tips, writing exercises and constructive feedback to find the humor, build the urgency and root your performance piece physically and vocally. This is not a stand-up comedy class but humor will be part of the storytelling process.
Workshop Schedule:
Workshops start July 10th,
Saturdays at 1PM- 2:30 MST (90 minutes)
July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, July 31st
A final showcase for participants, observers and general public will take place Sunday August 1st time to be determined by workshop participants.
COST:
$160 for Participants.
Free for Observers

HOW TO APPLY AS A PARTICIPANT (3 Parts) :
Part 1: Answer yes or no to 2 questions A & B
a) My story and all characters in it can be performed by one person on a stage. (Yes or No)
b) I agree that this workshop is a safe space and any hate speech will be grounds for removal. (Yes or No)
Part 2: Answer at least two of the following 3 questions as they relate to the performance you want to develop-
· What does my main character (or characters) need and why? (50 to 150 words)
· What obstacles does my main character have to overcome and how? (50 to 150 words)
· What actions does my character or characters take to make things better or worse. (50 to 150 words)
Part 3: Tell us about your relationship to storytelling, theater and/or solo performance. Include any experience you have had in writing and or performing (Max. 150 Words)
