SB1708 Goes to the House Next Week

 

The Appropriations Committee of the AZ House will be hearing SB1708 next week on Wednesday, March 23rd. Although we face some strong opposition, we believe our message-- that incentives will increase filming which creates more AZ jobs--is getting through in a big way.

We urgently need this bill to pass the House Appropriations Committee. Here is what you can do to help:

 

 

Task #1:
Send an e-mail to all 13 members of the House Appropriations Committee and ask them to support SB1708. Keep the message positive and supportive--for example:

• "Thank you for supporting SB1708 which will bring thousands of jobs to Arizona."
• "Thank you for voting 'yes' on SB1708 which will create economic opportunities for small businesses like mine throughout the state."
• "My small business will benefit when SB1708 passes so thank you for your support."

Task #2:
Send a positive, friendly e-mail to specific House members who:

• ...are already in favor of voting 'yes' on SB1708 but are needing their support bolstered.
• ...are needing some gentle encouragement because they might not be on board with SB1708 yet.

Task 3:
Continue flooding your social media with positive messages (complete with hashtags) which reaffirm why film incentives are great for small businesses and the AZ economy.
