Twenty years of bringing the funny to Tucson, Southern AZ, and now the WORLD!.
"Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed" had humble beginnings, to be sure. Some funny people thought, "Yeah, we can do this thing." Performing all over town, to crowds both big and very, very, very small. Always for free. Saving every single penny anyone donated - holding the dream of a forever home.
The tenacity, frugality, and HILARITY of those players paved the way to the opening of Tucson's only volunteer-run non-profit theater dedicated to the art of improv comedy. And Unscrewed Theater is still going strong eight years later!
Troupe members have come and gone, but our mission of providing affordable, family-friendly funny is still front of mind. And that's why our Super-Sized 20th Anniversary show is still only $5 for kids and $8 for adults.

This week, we're featuring Megan Sherrod!
Megan is an improviser, teacher, and director based in Austin, Texas.
On stage, critics have called her "charming" and said her performances have a "vulnerability [that] is manifest and moving." She is a member of the award-winning musical improv ensemble Rook and a regular on the Hideout Theatre stage, which specializes in narrative improv.
She's performed and taught across the United States and internationally. When improvising, Megan enjoys connecting with audiences through the creation of varied characters – from playful and silly to grounded and vulnerable and everything in between.
Outside of improv, Megan is a professional singer, voice teacher, theatre producer, and dog mom.
