Start your weekend on Friday morning! Spend 10 minutes with Dawn and some of the world's best improvisers.
This week, we're featuring Luana Proenca!
Luana is a Brazilian artist who graduated in Acting from the University of Brasília with a specialization in Cultural Management (SENAC) and a Master's of Arts from the Federal University of Uberlândia with research focused on training in Impro.
She had her own Theater School and was a Producer in Brazil from 2008 to 2016 and was a Direction and Acting college teacher from 2014 to 2017. She is a member of the Brazilian groups Novos Candangos and Saída Sul, with which she created her solo show "Aleatório."
She studied at The Second City Training Center Hollywood in addition to individual courses in the United States, Europe, and Brazil from 2011 to 2018. She moved to Portugal in September 2018, intending to start her Ph.D. in Theater Studies, continuing her research in Impro with a focus on Direction. In 2018 she started the project "Visando Impro," with which she wrote a blog and also made the Impro Documentary "It was necessary to listen to other voices," interviewing 60 Impro professionals.
