Join us for the first public reading of our newest original play: Borderline Theater Cordially Invites You to an In-Process Showing of Antigona 3.0 Made Possible by a Very Important Grant. Written by Jonathan Heras, Milta Ortiz, Marc David Pinate, and Jesus Valles. Music by Gertie Lopez. Stage directions & choral odes read by Diana Acosta.
A post dramatic examination of the link between generational trauma and the internal conflicts that show up when we work together. The play is set in an alternate universe, where the actors play a heightened characterization of themselves, as an ensemble that sets out to craft a play under pressure to write their best work yet. After all they've received the biggest funding of their career.
Experience this sometimes heady, sometimes spectacle and visceral dark comedy. Stay for delicious appetizers from El Charro and share your feedback in the post show discussion led by Logan Phillips. Your feedback helps us shape this new work!
Art is Vital Meet Ups give community members a deeper understanding of how art and wellbeing are connected. Meet Ups are themselves opportunities to experience joy and connection with others. Borderlands Theater strongly believes that art and culture are public goods, and that active participation in the arts is vital to mental and physical wellbeing and social cohesion.
