Type of position: Non-Exempt / Hourly 

Employee Classification: Seasonal

Location: Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $14.35 - $19.00/HR

 

Job Summary: Cast Members will be portraying lead characters and various townspeople and ensemble character positions. Cast members will be working under a specific script yet will be required at times to improvise during the event within their character. Cast Members will also be working in an environment where direct interaction with audience members of all ages will be essential to achieve the desired feel of the show. Some singing and choreography will be required of certain Cast Members. Some Cast Members will be involved in fight choreography and limited stunts. Some Cast Members will be asked to swing multiple roles or understudy lead roles.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Memorization and performance of scripted scenes while playing various characters.
• Learn staging, music, choreography, and fight choreography.
• Receive new dialogue and memorize in a timely manner.
• Some cast will learn, perform, and carry your own acapella vocal part.
• Become familiar with company guidelines and rules.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises management with related concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:

• Ability to work up to long days with prolonged standing.
• Prior acting and/or improvisation experience.
• Prior work in theme park events and non-traditional performance environments.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to an everchanging environment. 
• Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and late hours as production schedule may dictate.
• Commitment to working under shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

• Standing, walking, and running in locations with unbalanced footing.
• Varying temperatures and weather conditions; both indoor and outdoor. 
• Fast paced and exciting environment.
• Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday (Required)
