Casting Call: Confessions of a Recovering People Pleaser
We are seeking an actor for a key role in the upcoming stage production, Confessions of a Recovering People Pleaser, a powerful play exploring themes of self-discovery and people-pleasing.
Role: Host
Actor Requirements:
● Adult actor 18+
● Performance: The Host ushers the show between each phase, purposefully moving the audience along in their own emotional journey. Somber, grounded, able to judge audience reaction & address it accordingly.
Audition Details:
● Audition Type: We are accepting video submissions at this time
● Submission Deadline: February 7th, 2026
● Instructions: Please submit a video introducing yourself and performing a prepared contemporary dramatic monologue (2-3 minutes). Please also include a recent headshot and any conflicts in February 2026.
Rehearsal & Show Dates
● Rehearsals- February TBD, based on actors availability.
● Required dates of availability
o Tech Rehearsals-February 24 @ 530-730pm & February 25 @ 630-830pm
o Show Dates-February 26 & 27, 2026; 6-9pm, Live Theater Workshop
Compensation:
● This is a paid role. The compensation rate is $25/hr, 12 hours minimum.

Role: Young Kesha
Actor Requirements:
● Black female performer between the ages of 8-12.
● Performance: Must be able to convey emotion and character through subtle gestures and facial expressions. The role requires a strong non-verbal presence.
Audition Details:
● Audition Type: We are accepting video submissions at this time
● Submission Deadline: February 7th, 2026
● Instructions: Please submit a video introducing yourself and performing a prepared monologue (2-3 minutes). The monologue should showcase your ability to portray innocence, curiosity, or quiet emotion. Please also include a recent headshot and any conflicts in February 2026.
