Winding Road is pleased to announce our very first OUTDOOR production: Birds of North America

Birds of North America by Anna Ouyang Moench is the first Main Stage show of our 2021/2022 season. This thoughtful play depicts a strained father/daughter relationship played out over the course of ten years as they meet for their annual ritual of bird-watching. As they observe the birds of North America, the discussion ranges from owl anatomy to the responsibility of career choice to the threat of climate change. Birds of North America is directed by Artistic Director Maria Caprile and stars Erin Amsler and Ensemble Member Tony Caprile.

We are thrilled to present this play at a beautiful outdoor venue: Tucson's historic Valley of the Moon! Join us on the grassy lawn under the gorgeous Arizona sky! All showings of Birds of North America will be matinees.

But that's not all... bring your binoculars! All guests who arrive half an hour before the show can join our sponsor, Tucson Audubon Society, for a guided bird walk around the grounds! Tucson Audubon Society will be on hand for every showing, to answer your birding questions!

Birds of North America will play four performances only:

Saturday Nov 13 and 20th 2pm
Sunday Nov 14 and 21st 2pm

Valley of the Moon, celebrating their 98th year in Tucson, is located at 2544 E Allen Rd, near the intersection of Prince Rd and Tucson Blvd. There is plenty of FREE parking! Don't miss their family-friendly show, The Polka Dot Hex, playing through October 31st!

Pssst! It's not too late!

keepingabreast by Jackie Rosenfeld continues to play online through October 31st. We'd like to share this heartfelt review of keepingabreast by audience member Joyce Smith.

"Thank you for reminding us that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Such a perfect choice of production. Kudos to all involved, like also the unseen director's hand, for an exciting, terrific theater experience. So very deserving of a wide audience, here and everywhere. There ought to be productions of it for all oncology students specializing in breast cancer ~ and those already in the profession."
