"A poised and appealing performer,

Nagle calibrates the story's tonal

shifts capably...and [aces] the humor."

— The Washington Post

In a captivating one-woman performance, playwright and attorney Mary Kathryn Nagle (Sovereignty; Manahatta) recounts the pivotal moments in the life of Muscogee leader Ella Jean Hill Chaudhuri.

An activist and author, Chaudhuri served as Executive Director of the Tucson Indian Center, Director of the Traditional Indian Alliance, and founded the first off-reservation Indian Health clinic in Tucson. She was inducted into the Arizona Women's Hall of Fame posthumously in 2013.

From the Trail of Tears to the landmark opinion in McGirt v. Oklahoma, Nagle sheds light on her mother-in-law's relentless pursuit of justice.
