2024/25 Season Update from
The Santa Cruz Shoestring Players

Our 2024-2025 Season started strong in June with our Shoestring Kids' production of The Lion King Jr. This delightful musical, with a cast of 30 talented children, was directed by Regina Ford & Claire Corlett Brown with music direction by Sadie Crapo. This production was followed by the first-ever summer Shoestring Readers Theatre Festival in July! We're excited to see more from our Readers Theatre this year and encourage you to get involved! Our final summer production kicked off this past weekend with The Viewing Room by Mark E. Smith and directed by Chad Eggen. Tickets are available for all remaining performances: Aug. 9, 10, & 11. You don't want to miss this summer comedy!

Auditions for our fall production, Agatha Christie's Spider's Web, directed by Regina Ford, will be today and tomorrow--Aug. 5 & 6 at 6:00 pm. Audition informa tion including sides are found HERE!

Finally, in an unanticipated turn of events, the Santa Cruz Shoestring Players are adapting their season. This winter, instead of The Music Man, we will be producing Sondheim & Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical, Into the Woods, directed by Marcy Miller with music direction by Marie Valade. We are excited to bring this challenging show to the CPAC stage! Auditions for Into the Woods will be Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1 starting at 6:00 pm. Ages 15+ are welcome to audition.
