Tucson teens, would you like to join us onstage for
our production of Hadestown: Teen Edition?
Do you want to work with a professional production team,
live band, and other teens who love performing as much as you do?
You can audition for a chance to tell this iconic story in a truly Tucson way!
AUDITION SCHEDULE
Self-Tape Audition:
Due September 12th
There is a $15 application fee at the time of submission
Please prepare a 32 bar/1 minute long non-Musical Theater song (folk, rock, jazz, gospel, etc.) or MT song in this style
Optional:
Please film 30 seconds of a dance routine or improvised movement
If you play an instrument, please self-accompany or play it on the tape as well to showcase your musical ability (guitar, accordion, violin, tambourine)
Callbacks: September 19th-21st
Thursday 9/19
Vocal/Acting Callback (4:30-10:00 pm by appointment)
Friday 9/20
Dance Callback (4:30-9:30pm)
Saturday 9/21
Final Callback (Chemistry Reads/Singing by appointment)
Audition location TBA
ALL AUDITIONEES MUST BE BETWEEN 13 AND 19 YEARS OF AGE
We will consider younger performers on a case by case basis
NOTE FROM CREATIVE:
We welcome performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities, and body types. We are seeking actors with unique, vibrant singing skills. Certain roles will also require strong instrumental abilities. Actors of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition. In general, we are not looking for conventional "music-theater style" singers. We are seeking singers that feel informed by jazz/rock/gospel.
