Sign up for the MasterClass to learn how to manipulate puppets ON CAMNERA   Part One: Sunday, April 12    1:00 - 4:00 Part Two: Sunday, April 19   1:00 - 4:00 at the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre  Performing puppets for recorded media requires a unique set of skills.  Lisa Sturz, Emmy award-winning Artistic Director of Red Herring Puppets, has decades of experience performing and training others to succeed.     PART ONE: Participants will use a video monitor to practice finding the center of frame, proper lip synch, eye focus, and keeping a consistent height. We will work with breath, posture, hand movements and vocal characterization to convey emotion.   PART TWO: We will refine the skills introduced in Part One, add scene work, group improvisations, and choreograph a musical number.   Lisa’s TV/film credits include Elmo in Grouchland, Muppets from Space, Howard the Duck, the Flintstones, Ninja Turtles III, RoboCop2, Gremlins 2, Murphy Brown, PuzzlePlace, Batman Returns and several commercials. COST: $150 for one session, or $250 for both sessions.   PART ONE or similar experience is a pre-requisite for PART TWO.   Registration for Puppets On Camera Workshop     Bring your own hand and rod (Muppet style) puppet or borrow one of several that will be provided.   For more information, contact Lisa lisa@redherringpuppets.com    Limit of 15 persons per session, but lots of puppets are welcome.
