About Live Theatre Workshop
Since 1994, Live Theatre Workshop (LTW) has produced professional theatre and theatre education that entertains, educates, and enlightens children, adults, and families across Tucson. LTW is committed to making the arts accessible to all through affordable ticket prices, scholarships, free school programs, and a deep focus on marginalized and low-income communities. Through Mainstage plays, Children’s Theatre musicals, Etcetera Late-Night shows, classes, summer camps, and a Young Playwrights program, LTW uses theatre as a vehicle for social connection and community storytelling.
Position Overview
As a versatile, proactive member of the LTW team, the Administrative Assistant ensures smooth daily operations through cross-functional support spanning administration, production, education, and facilities management. This role is ideal for a highly organized, multi-talented individual comfortable transitioning between box office support, house management, marketing tasks, classroom preparation, light facility maintenance, and set build assistance. A flexible schedule including regular evening and weekend shifts is required.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
• Provide regular box office support as scheduled
• House manage production performances as scheduled
• Support day-to-day troubleshooting of organization’s computers and technology
• Produce weekly sales and income reports
• Proofread LTW administrative documents as needed
Production & Marketing
• Assist marketing team in printing flyers, posters, and programs
• Collect production participant bios and headshots for programs and lobby board displays
• Manage LTW events in community calendars
Education Support
• Prepare printed and digital materials for all education classes and camps
• Design, print, and display all education-related posters and flyers
• Design and prepare print/digital showcase programs for all classes and camps
• Assist in maintaining the education supply inventory
• Keep classroom and backstage materials replenished and organized
Facilities
• Perform weekly janitorial duties
• Water plants and update the exterior marquee regularly
• Regularly touch up interior paint
• Provide general support to facilities maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned (assist teaching classes, set build support, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant work experience may apply
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or production support role, ideally in an arts or non-profit setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Physical ability to perform general facility maintenance duties and set build support
• Proficiency in Google Suite and graphic design tools such as Canva for light design of flyers and programs
• Experience with Bloomerang donor management software or TIX box office ticketing systems is a plus
