FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BEOWULF ALLEY THEATRE COMPANY SEEKING REPLACEMENT FOR THE ROLE OF BERNARD NIGHTINGALE IN ARCADIA by Tom Stoppard

(Tucson, AZ—Feb. 6, 2008)— Beowulf Alley Theatre Company, 11 S. 6th Ave has an immediate opening for an actor who can portray Bernard Nightengale, the quintessential present day British don. His research speciality is the early nineteenth century poet, Lord Byron. He is impressed with his own eminence and therefore eminently arrogant, though not without some charm and a touch of vulnerability. A substantial and challenging role, the actor must be able to learn a substantial amount of dialogue and can understand and assimilate the world of an egocentric English don! We are in rehearsal on this project now. Tech week is from March 12-March 19, 2008. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30p and Sundays at 1:30p from March 20, 2008-April 13, 2008.

Synopsis: "Arcadia is a brilliantly inventive play that moves back and forth between centuries, populated by a varied and vastly entertaining cast of characters who discuss such topics as the nature of truth and time, the difference between the classical and the romantic temperament, and the disruptive influence of sex on our orbits in life and - according to the author - "the attraction,” which Newton left out.
