Come for the fun of it!
The Comedy Playhouse is pleased to announce that we will be collaborating with other theater companies and other directors in order to fully engage with the theater community in Tucson. No theater is an island, and we are thrilled to welcome some new faces and new ideas into our space. Below, you will find some information about who's coming soon to a theater near you.
The Active Imagination Theatre will be at The Comedy Playhouse this Halloween with their children's show entitled "A Weenie Halloween"!
Director John Vornholt brings to the stage the story of a stuffy queen who wants to ban Halloween from her kingdom. Her Evil Wizard erases the memories of Halloween from everyone's mind... but one little girl remembers her black cat, Spookers. With help from the audience, the girl goes on a quest in search of Spookers and rediscovers the fun of Halloween!
A Weenie Halloween will run from October 15 through October 30. The showtimes for this performance are Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 4 and up. You can call 520-270-9310 or email thecomedyplayhouse@ gmail.com for reservations.
In November, The Comedy Playhouse will be hosting L.U.N.A Theater Company's production of Steel Magnolias. The showtimes are as follows:
November 10- 7:30 PM
November 11- 7:30 PM
November 12- 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM
November 13- 2:00 PM
November 17- 7:30 PM
November 18- 7:30PM
November 19- 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM
November 20- 2:00 PM
If you are a Comedy Playhouse loyalist, please note the addition of a Saturday matinee and a change in the usual Sunday time.
You will be able to buy tickets at the door, but for this show, tickets will also be available online. Reservations are encouraged, as this is a short run time. You can copy and paste this link to purchase your ticket online:
